Music Saturday

Monthly Music Saturday

More Count and Clap in the Sight Reading hour and finding how useful it is to know about the tonic and dominant when you are reading pitch.

Confident Singing will provide an opportunity to review posture and breathing and explore the issues involved in singing in tune.

In the A Cappella session we'll think about keeping in tune, phrasing the music and enjoying the pieces.

Ukuleles will continue to share tunes and techniques.

Players in the Slow Tunes Session will discuss whether it's time to go along to the Northumberland Arms on Tuesday November 27 with a couple of tunes – or more, that they'd like to play.

Music Saturdays are about developing and practising skills. They provide an opportunity to learn and to try activities to find out whether they are interesting and enjoyable. Over time, different things have been timetabled on Saturdays, reflecting people's interests. In the summer, other events and commitments may mean Music Saturdays have to be a bit flexible.

We meet at Felton Village Hall. Refreshments are available throughout the day. Everyone is welcome to come to any of the sessions. No need to attend every month.

The morning is devoted to singing, with an emphasis on becoming a more confident singer. Pick up any of the sessions, or treat yourself and come to all of them!

Cost of Confident Singing is just 50p. For everything else, it's £1.50 for each session to cover room hire, refreshments and materials
